May 04, 2012: View/download wallpaper size (1920х1280, 0,76 M). Wagtails are among our favorites. They are always somewhere around, always busy gathering insects from our plants. Mom told that in Moscow district wagtails became so accustomed to people digging ground with spades and pitchforks that the birds gathered mosquitoes right from Mom's legs. Once a wagtail even landed on our friend's head.

Looking through recent photos of wagtails I mentioned that they have groups of special feathers on their sides. The feathers are large and loose, they resemble bird's-of-paradise plumages. Of course, they are not so spectacular as tropical birds' demonstrations, but still, with proper direction of wind they turn this little bird into a pretty brush :).
