May 04, 2012: The universe played a joke with me. Last time I wrote that I will hardly ever have another chance to see a wryneck. And just 4 days after that a wryneck knocked at my roof. And then cried. And knocked, and cried. The wryneck got interested in one of the bird houses we have on our garden house and knocked and cried into it for several days (the “ceiling” above the bird is actually my floor). Nevertheless, I made only one shot of the bird, so that not to frighten it. Nevertheless, the bird went off after a week of knocking and crying — maybe that's because we are talking too loudly, or maybe because the door of the bird house is too little. In fact, it seems to me that in both cases the wrynecks chose too little doors.
