Jun 11, 2012: The rain was already finding weak places in my “rainwall”, and I had to make complex poses under the cloak so that to protect the papers using my hat. And, by the way, the laser level's batteries ran out of charge on the previous location. But we proceeded anyway :).

Here, we’ve just done the last landscape description. The expedition was a success — we've done even more than we planned. Now, based on the results of this expedition, there will be another one. The data we've gathered will be used for creation of electronic map of the reserve's vegetation. The map is needed for • the inventory of natural systems • planning and organization of the researches • monitoring the condition of ecosystems • providing information about the territory for the needs of the administration and for all departments of the reserve.

Not a common knowledge for many people: natural reserves are created not just for conservation of a territory with a set of species (“so that tourists could come and look, make photos… shoot…”). Research activities are very important function of such territories. People study design of our world — how ecosystem works itself, without human influence. When we understand how something is working, we get a chance to create a mutually beneficial friendship with it.
