Jun 10, 2012: View more details/download wallpaper size (1920х1275, 0,53 M). A couple of words about how we found the way to these lands — not very far but exotic and hard to get into. That was what in business is called by buzz word “networking”. First, I friended in Livejournal people working in different nature reserves. Than, from a conversation with Mikhail Krechmar (aka kiowa-mike) I learned that there are some programs for volunteers in Russian reserves. Still, at that moment a trip to a reserve located in Far East (that's were kiowa-mike worked then), though extremely interesting, would be too costly for us; besides, we had no plans to travel at the moment.

Later, in spring, I read a post by Andrian Kolotilin (aka LJ-user macrolight) about volunteers needed in Polistovsky and then I told: “Andrei, look, what an opportunity of interesting and useful travel. It's supposed to be hard, very hard… So, you can decide for yourself, and I'm going there if they will take me.” He answered immediately: “I'm in”.

And they took us. I'm extremely delighted that there such opportunity to take part, help, see, make photos and share the story with the world. That's very, very cool.
