	$<div class=ru><p>07.06.2012: На каждом участке нужно было переписать все виды травянистых растений (с разбивкой на 3 яруса) и по каждому виду указать — сколько его тут. Да, сколько его тут. Сколько осоки, сколько пушицы, сколько клюквы. Сколько мха каждого вида, опять же. </p><p>Тут главное не проявлять излишний педантизм, а то экспедиция затянется :). Опытные ботаники определяют плотность ботвы на глаз: вот эта трава тут примерно 10 % площади занимает, эта — 3 %, а эта… эта просто чуть-чуть растёт (<1 %).</p><p>Конечно, способ неточный. Но точное число колосков и не нужно (точные количества считают на постоянных площадках, где мониторинг регулярный). Нужна оценка: вот этого тут мало, этого побольше, а этого — ну просто навалом. А на предыдущем участке расклад другой был. Собранная информация даст пищу для карт распределения растительности.</p><p>На заднем плане Наташа считает «дрова» — сухостой, пни и валежник. Сколько чего, с разбивкой на «с корой» и «без коры». And how much of each species of mosses, by the way.</p><p>Well, in this case too much scrupulousness would be an obstacle :). We didn't count every plant on the plot. Instead, experienced botanists assess density of each species roughly: this one occupies 10 %, this one — 3 %, and this one just grows a little (i.e. <1 %).</p><p>Of course, this is not an exact method. But we did not need exact counts (exact numbers are counted on the plots which are monitored regularly). We just assessed which species are rare and which are abundant on every plot. Gathered information will be used in making vegetation maps.</p><p>In the background of the photo, Natasha is counting dead trees, stumps and fallen deadwood. How much of each, with break-down by “with bark”/“without bark”.
