Apr 07, 2012: Well, not exactly flowers… But still these are reproductive organs of plants. until recently, I knew very little about different species of mosses. I knew there were… well, peat moss, hair moss. This time I decided to be nerdy and to find “which hair moss is there on the photo”. I found some books about moss identification and gazed into them for a long time.

So, now I know that biodiversity of our northern forests comprises not only a few thousands species of mosquitoes from a well-known Russian joke* but also a few hundreds species of mosses.
