Feb 13, 2011: A big tit eats the following way: it sits on the food, holds it tightly with her legs and chisels with the beak. Maybe it`s not as strong as woodpecker, but it`s a considerable effort. In the beginning of winter I was trying to guess for about a week: who comes to our street-door and threshes it with fists, and why? Later I found out that it was not a man with a fist, it was just a tit like this one, pecking the lard attached to window frame. That sounded great! And that`s no surprise — in wild nature tits feed by picking out insects from under bark of tree branches.
